Delete System Locked Ringtones and Wallpapers Via BLUFTP

Posted on Saturday, 10 March 2012

For those who want to delete their system locked ringtones and wallpapers, you can try this. This is a temporary deletion method for ringtones and wallpaper. It doesn't
really erase it because of the installer in our Corby. But you will gain
memory space with those deleted ringtones in its physical memory. Check the exact memory before doing this for reference later.

 1. install bluftp in your phone

 2. open bluftp

 3. click allow once, if prompt

 4. click Mmc (this would be the memory card)

 5. locate your mp3 files, choose 10 files preferably small files.
click 123 then click #. continue clicking till you reach the 10th file.

 6. click menu then copy

 7. click back till you reach the home page

 8. open tones

 9. open alert tones

10. press menu, paste items

11. rename one by one the files using the default ringtones. ex. Transparent piano.mp3

12. after renaming the alert tones, you can go back and copy 10 mp3 files again for ringtones and rename it again.

13. when done, exit the bluftp and go to your files, alerts or
ringtones, there you'll see the duplicate files. delete all, now you will
see the system locked tones were the first one deleted, delete the
remaining duplicates. you can also do this for wallpaper, just use .jpg
image when duplicating.

Its done. i hope it'll help those who want to delete locked tones, temporarily.

check now your memory if it gained from the deleted tones.

NOTE: Deleted ringtones will come back if you connect to kies, change csc, or master reset.
